Interview with Planningwithsacentity

“Don’t pressure yourself too much or you will end up doing nothing.

Planningwithsacentity is a 23 years old civil engineer from Spain who is currently studying a major degree. When not studying she loves to watch comedy series/movie, doing crazy makeup to go nowhere, and pretending that she’s good at writing stories and drawing (she is!).

How long have you been into planners? What got your interested?

I’ve been into planning since a young age. I always saw my dad doing his own agenda in a notebook (way before bullet journaling was a thing). I always had some kind of planner, even if I was ten and had no responsibilities! About five years ago I discovered bullet journaling and I’ve been doing it on and off since then.

How long have you done art? Anything outside of planners?

When I was in highschool I liked drawing comics (mafalda style, nothing too detailed). Then I got into college and started a civil engineering degree in which I started to draw more buildings, monuments and all that stuff. Recently, since I discovered Lore Olympus and the amazingly talented LO instagram community, I’ve been trying digital drawing and I have fallen totally in love with it.

Tell us your Lore Olympus story.

I was looking through pinterest and came across an image of Persephone from the comic. I can’t remember which panel it was but I liked it so much that it made me click on it. That took me to webtoon and I read all the episodes available (which I think there was like 130 at that time) in just two days!

If you could body snatch one LO character for a day, who would it be?

Hecate is the one, no doubt, she gives those major boss bitch vibes and has a strong personality that I love. I hope we see more of her soon.

Which Lore Olympus inspired layout are you most proud of and why?

I did a map of the Underworld based on the comic and Ancient Greek mythology. It took me a week to plan, draw and paint but it was worth it. I had never seen one, which surprised me because there is a ton of fan art out there, but I guess that only a civil engineer can think that drawing a map of something is fun/needed. I can’t wait to recreate it in a couple of years to see the improvement in my drawing/painting style.

Any advice for someone looking to get into making their planners more beautiful?

Don’t pressure yourself too much or you will end up doing nothing- it has happened to me. Sometimes I want to make everything so dramatic and complicated that I end up not drawing or planning anything because I end up saturating myself. Start off small and work with what you have.

Something that I like to do is set a little time for myself in the week and let my creative juices flow. Catch up with artists that you love. Inspiration can come from everything.

Do you have any goals or aspirations for your fan art?

I just wanna keep doing it and see how my style evolves, and be able to see improvement. At the end of the day, art should be something that (as a hobby) we do for ourselves even if we end up sharing it, and if some people like it along the way makes it cooler!

Just for fun: Who did you get on this quiz?

I got Cordon Bleu! I was hoping I would - that attitude is everything. I can be a total diva at times but I give so much love to the people in my inner circle.
