How did you get into writing textposts and memes?

I had always really enjoyed textpost content. I think that made up the majority of my following on social media ever since I stumbled upon it back in late middle school, but the want to create some of my own was only sparked when I got super into Lore Olympus. I started having so many ideas for AUs and head canons and that became the way I shared all of that! This also turned into me turning quotes from shows and movies that I loved into posts where I assigned that dialogue to certain characters I could envision saying those exact things.

Which of your posts is your favorite?

I’ve made so many in the past two years that they get all mixed up in my head but currently it’s probably a tie between my Daphne tree meme and my Airplanes Daphne Thanatos meme. I feel like they perfectly display my favorite kinds of posts to make, which are absolute shitposts or me making bad jokes during sad moments in the comic to try and get some laughs out there. Both of these still make me crack a good laugh when I see them.

Which is your most popular and why?

Currently it’s a quickly edited post I did where I slapped on the text from a TikTok audio that was popular at the time. I genuinely don’t know why it’s so popular other than the fact that it was slightly relevant and probably gave people a good laugh…or at least I hope so because I remember laughing my ass off as I was making it.

What’s your Lore Olympus story?

I had heard about Lore Olympus the summer before my senior year in high school but it wasn’t until that fall that I actually decided to start reading it, and I’m so glad I did. I remember eating it up in less than twenty four hours (there were only 82 episodes up at the time), reading every little break I got in between classes and even on my way back home from school. I really loved it and about a month later I had given into fast passing and I have been ever since! I was super into Greek mythology at the time, learning the basics of it in a class I was taking that year and then doing my own research in my free time, so Lore Olympus was the perfect thing for me then! I’m a sucker romances too, so it felt like my two favorite things combined into one. My love for it only grew more and more as I continued to read week to week and the itch to talk about it was growing. I’d literally tell anyone that would listen about what was going on in the comic even if they had no actual context, I just wanted to get my excitement off my chest that badly. That led to me starting my account in January. I really had no other intentions for my account other than it being a place to dump my thoughts and excitement over the comic, and then the pandemic happened and everything stopped. My senior year? Over. I then had more time on my hands than ever before and I spent a lot of it on Instagram, talking about Lore Olympus, creating posts, and making new friends. It was honestly a lot of fun. Everyone was bored with nothing to do so everyone was creating content or bouncing ideas off of each other.

Obviously there were its ups and downs but there were so many great people that made those long months into something really fun. Even just the people who followed my account and encouraged my antics made it really special. When I was getting close to hitting 6969 followers I made such a big deal out of it on my story. Every time I got closer I’d share it on my story and people were genuinely excited with me, to the point that when I actually reached that goal I had people celebrating and screenshotting the glorious 6969 follower count with me. It was something so stupid, but it brought me so much joy to see everyone excited with me, it still makes me smile thinking back to it. Along with that, I was able to make close friends through the fandom that I’m still friends with today, some of which I have had the pleasure of meeting in person more recently, so I’m extremely grateful that Lore Olympus gave me the opportunity to meet all of them!

Has being in fandom informed any of your personal goals in life?

It has in little ways! I think the opportunity that I have had within this fandom specifically has made me want to connect with people more than ever before. Whether that be someone people can rely on during difficult times or be a source of some happiness. I want to continue to be a positive person that makes people smile, which is a really small thing, but it makes such a difference. Little acts of kindness and positivity can go a long way, I’ve felt it personally and I’ve been lucky to be able to bring some of that to others with my page so I really hope I can continue to do that as long as I possibly can online and in real life too!
