Theory: Does Hestia Know Persephone is a Fertility Goddess?

It seems that a lot of gods and goddesses are aware of Persephone’s status as a fertility goddess, except Persephone herself. Even Ares was able to tell right away after she unknowingly healed his scar. Thus, it isn’t unlikely for Demeter to know that her daughter is one, and would do everything in her power to protect her daughter.

Much is still yet to be discovered about what exactly are the implications of being a fertility goddess in Lore Olympus, but we know that Zeus pretty much dictates and has control over everything. If Zeus finds out that Demeter’s daughter could be married off for a business deal, Persephone could be in danger.

Kore has mentioned that Hestia has been grooming her to join TGOEM ever since she was 14. It is likely that Demeter told Hestia about her, and asked Hestia to help induct her daughter into TGOEM. They are trying to keep it from her. This could also explain why Persephone’s powers are becoming increasingly erratic: there’s a huge part of herself that she’s been suppressing. And as a personification of life, that is not a good thing. Life is wild and free and not controlled.

Kore is unaware that she is a fertility goddess until she was told by a) Hades and b) Apollo that she was one. And even then, she refused to accept it, because she stated that her mother would’ve told her if she was. But we all know that Demeter is too protective of her daughter to a fault, and it’s not far off that she lied to her daughter.
